Meet our Staff
With a natural interest in mechanical things and a father who also was a mechanic, Doug has literally been working on cars since he could walk. Doug is a 1981 graduate of MSU with a degree in industrial technology, was married to Susan in 1982 and they have 3 daughters, currently plays basketball for fun and stress relief. Doug has also completed numerous automotive classes and seminars over the years with training highly emphasized at Aasby Automotive. Doug is currently an ASE certified Master Technician, is ASE L1 certified, and is an Automotive Management Institute AAM (Accredited Automotive Manager). Doug started Aasby Automotive in 1983 with his brother Don and continues today, 26 years later, with a strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and getting it done right the 1st time.
Josh is the face you will normally see when you come to Aasby Automotive, he started in 1999 as a part timer while attending MSU. He has since graduated from MSU with a degree in sociology. Josh has also attended numerous management training sessions while employed at Aasby Automotive, he is an ASE certified service consultant, and is an AAM. Josh and his wife have 2 children. Josh enjoys running, fishing, and hunting, he then keeps the staff entertained with plenty of stories about each. Josh has a lot to do with your experience at Aasby Automotive and it is very important to him that you (as our customer) are treated very well.
A graduate of the 3 year automotive program at
Jim started with Aasby Automotive in January of 2008. Jim brings years of experience in all types of auto repair and is also an ASE L1 certified Master Technician. Jim and his wife have a son (who is now serving in the military), and a 17 year old daughter at home. Jim likes to hunt and shoot competitively for entertainment, also as an amateur chef, he brings in “new things” for us to try. The newest addition to the Aasby Automotive Service staff, Jamison is our “shop assistant”. Jamison performs minor mechanical work and helps the technicians when needed, he also maintains the appearance of the shop, and serves a shuttle driver for customers and parts. Jamison works full time and will be attending OTC this fall for automotive service training. He looks forward to improving his automotive repair skills. Married to Doug, Susan works at Aasby Automotive Service part time as bookkeeper. Along with being a mom and bookkeeper, Susan is also a certified speech pathologist. Susan’s happy attitude is always welcome and when she is here we all know who the “real boss” is.
Cas was a full time technician at Aasby Automotive Service for several years until he retired in 2003. In 2006 he decided that he couldn’t fish just all the time and he now helps us on a part time as needed basis. Always good for a laugh, Cas helps us with shop maintenance, inventory, and light mechanical repair during our busy periods.
